The 2024 Chinese Automotive Overseas(Chile)Tour recently opened in Santiago,the capital of Chile,with fuel vehicles,electric vehi-cles,electric buses and other products from 15 Chinese brands including BYD,Changan Auto and Chery show-cased.According to the statistics of the National Automotive Association of Chile,35.4% of the light and medium-sized vehicles sold in Chile in 2023 were made in China,and 33 Chinese au-tomotive brands have been sold in the country.In recent years,Chinese vehi-cle brands have taken the lead in over-seas markets and accelerated their pac-es to go overseas by virtue of their self-developed capabilities and increasingly enhanced patent portfolio planning.
