The China National Intellectual Property Administration （CNIPA） Commissioner Shen Changyu met with Danish Ambassador to China Thomas Ostrup Moller in Beijing on May 14. "In recent years, CNIPA and the Danish Patent and Trademark Office （DPTO） have implemented in-depth and pragmatic cooperation in IP legislation, patent examination, patent documentation, IP information services and patent prosecution highways （PPH），" Shen said. " In parallel, in a bid to better serve users of the two countries and enhance mutual understanding, the two offices also hosted outreaching events including seminars and round tables, which have been welcomed by companies. Such cooperation benefits immensely from the support and help of the embassy. It is believed that with the joint efforts of both sides, Sino-Denmark IP cooperation will reach a new height."
Moller said that an effective IP protection system is essential to economic and social development. In recent years, China has continuously strengthened IP protection, and the development of Chinese IP undertakings and achievements it has made are impressive. Denmark has always attached great importance to develop friendly relations with China. The DPTO also experiences a good ties with CNIPA.
